The gallery was founded in 2013 in Yekaterinburg and named after the Russian sculptor, Honored Artist of Russia, author of numerous monumental and easel works Andrei Antonov.

In April 2019, the Antonov Ekaterinburg Gallery opened a branch in St. Petersburg. The gallery represents recognized masters and young artists of Russia.

Antonov Gallery regularly organizes and takes part in numerous exhibitions, biennials, forums and fairs in Russia, represented its authors at international exhibitions in Germany, France and China.

The works of the gallery's artists are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Hermitage, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, the National Library of Russia, the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Bavarian State Library, the Cabinet of Prints in Berlin, the Cabinet of Prints in Dresden, the Prague National Gallery, the Moravian Gallery in Brno, the Museum of Modern Art in Cologne, the Goethe Museum in Weimar, the Prado Museum in Madrid and other museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
