Graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute, Faculty of Applied Arts, majoring in fashion design (1985).
From 1985 to 2013 she worked as a fashion designer, interior designer, costume designer in theater, film, dance companies and television.
Curator and art director of numerous projects related to fashion and art, designer of museum and gallery expositions. Lecturer in history and fashion theory. Collections of Tanya Kolpakova in different years were presented in Austria, Vietnam, Germany, Russia, USA, Czech Republic, France. Since 2013, art director, curator and designer of expositions at the Antonov Gallery and Antonov Gallery.
